What we actually do about collections.

No magic, no gimmicks. Every collection account on your reports has to meet strict reporting standards. When it does not, we challenge it.

  1. Full three-bureau auditWe pull every collection and charge-off across Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion and compare how each bureau reports it. Discrepancies between bureaus are themselves disputable.
  2. Validation reviewCollectors must be able to verify what they report. We review balances, dates, account numbers, and ownership for inaccuracies.
  3. Metro 2-compliant disputesDisputes go out formatted to the Metro 2 standard the bureaus' own systems use, which means they get processed instead of ignored.
  4. Track every responseWe review each bureau response with you, explain what changed, and plan the next round. You see everything.

A Texas note: most consumer debts in Texas carry a four-year statute of limitations for lawsuits, but that clock does not control how long an item can appear on your credit reports. That is a separate question, and we will walk through both on your consultation.

Questions, answered.

Straight answers before you ever talk to us.

Can collections be removed from my credit report?

Sometimes. Collection accounts must be reported accurately and be verifiable. When they are not, a properly formatted dispute can get them corrected or removed. Accurate, verifiable collections may remain.

Should I just pay the collection?

Not before understanding the trade-offs. Paying does not automatically remove the account, and in some cases it can restart the clock on older debts. Talk to us first, it is a free consultation.

What is the statute of limitations on debt in Texas?

For most consumer debts in Texas, collectors have four years to sue. That limit is about lawsuits, not credit reporting, which follows federal rules. We can explain how both apply to your situation.

How much does collections removal cost?

Our plans are $65 to $149 per month depending on the number of items and level of support, with no setup fees. Your first monthly payment starts the process. Medical collections, apartment collections, and charge-offs all count toward your plan's item limits.

Do you work with clients outside Austin?

Yes. We serve clients across Texas by phone and through our client portal, with a focus on the greater Austin area.
